John Anthony Earley III

John Anthony Earley III, 76, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2022.

John Anthony Earley III, 76, our beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, papa and friend, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2022, with his wife, Cathy, by his side.

He was born on Nov. 5, 1946,, in Seattle, Washington to John and Margaret (Sweet) Earley. Later on the family moved to the Harbor, and he graduated from Hoquiam High School in 1965.

From the years of 1966 to 1969, John served in the Army and in the Vietnam War. After his tour, he settled in Aberdeen, Washington, and worked for the family business, Earley Tire Factory for many years until his passing. He met Cathy Harper, and they coupled for almost 12 years before their marriage on July 20, 2002 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The couple would vacation to their honeymoon spot each year.

John enjoyed collecting agates. He and Cathy traveled the Oregon beaches to add to his beautiful agate collection. He also loved to play pool. He was a member of both the Aberdeen Pool League and the BCA league out of Olympia. John and Cathy would attend the regional tournament in Lincoln City, Oregon each year.

John is and will always be deeply missed and loved.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two grandchildren: Alexis Harper and Quinlan Honeycutt.

John is survived by his wife, Cathy, at their family home in Aberdeen, Washington; daughter, Jennifer (Nels) Honeycutt of Griffin, Georgia; daughter, Shalina (Dustin) Stevens of Aberdeen, Washington; son, Jonathan Harper of Aberdeen, Washington; brother, Daniel (Kristi) Earley of Hoquiam, Washington; brother, Patrick ( Kate) Earley of Camano Island, Washington; sister, Susan (Richard) Terrell of Sedro Wooley, Washington; along with 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two nieces, and six nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022 at 2 p.m. located at the Hoquiam VFW, 407 7th St. Hoquiam, Washington.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen, Washington.
