Bina Jeanne (Jackson) Virgin was born in Orem, Utah to Lloyd and Melba Jackson Nov. 17, 1949. Jeanne passed away June 8, 2023. She is survived by her husband Charles Virgin, five siblings and several nieces and nephews.

Jeanne grew up in Moses Lake and graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1967. After graduation she moved to Seattle to attend barber school with the goal of owning her own barber shop, which was to become her lifelong occupation.

Jeanne worked in other owner operator shops but eventually opened her own barber shop in Redmond, Washington. Jeanne loved her clients and developed a lifelong friendship with many of them. Charlie first met Jeanne as a client in her shop. They clicked and later set a date, were married Dec. 18, 1982 and soon purchased a home on the Sammamish Plateau.

At Charlie’s retirement they sold their home on the Sammamish Plateau and and purchased a home in Westport. Jeanne then established “The Barber Shop” in Westport. Again she developed close friendships with the citizens of Westport and surrounding area.

Jeanne had a giving heart and great sense of humor. She will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, in the hall behind the Westport VFW.
