Jane Waller

Jane Waller passed away on July 3, 2017, after a full and wonderful life of 88 years. Jane lived in Lacey, Wash., and was surrounded by friends and family at her passing.

Jane’s life was one of style, elegance, entrepreneurship, and she was inspiration for others with her kind heart and giving personality. Jane was born in Seattle, Wash., where she attended Holy Rosary High School. She lived in Honolulu, San Francisco and landed back in Seattle after she met the love of her life, David Waller. They wed in 1955 and moved to Grays Harbor, settling in Hoquiam and later in Aberdeen. There, she raised her two children, Tom and Marjorie. She became a devoted volunteer at the Aberdeen Clothing Bank, and the Aberdeen Food Bank. She studied at Grays Harbor College, earning her AA degree. Later she studied to become a travel agent and she launched her own business in 1980 – Waller Travel Service in Ocean Shores, Wash. Waller Travel later became Jane’s Tours and Travel and specialized in group travel throughout the world. Jane and David also ran the Cove Gallery at Iron Springs since 1969.

Together, Jane and David moved to Lacey, Wash. in 2009 after 54 years living on Grays Harbor and Iron Springs. In 2010, Jane found herself widowed. She began a new chapter in life at Panorama in Lacey. With her continued grace and style, Jane cultivated many close friends in her new surrounds. She will be greatly missed.

Jane is survived by her son, Tom Waller, and his wife Patti of Redlands, Calif., and their two children, Nate and Kathryn, and is also survived by her daughter Marjorie and her husband, Earl Thompson, of Seattle, Wash.
