James Allan Salo, 49, of Bremerton, Washington, unexpectedly passed away on Nov. 28, 2022.

Jim was born on Nov.18, 1973, to Richard and Debra (Wakefield) Salo in Aberdeen, Washington. In 2018, he met his soulmate, Bronwyn Snow, and they were married Dec. 17, 2021.

Jim was an avid Washington State professional and college sports fan, specifically the WSU Cougars, Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Mariners. He and his wife Bronwyn enjoyed attending these athletic events together whenever they had the chance. Jim and his dad Rich would often attend Mariners’ games while Jim was growing up and into adulthood, inviting Mark, his best friend to go along with them.

Jim also had a love of many genres of music. He and Bronwyn would often post pictures of themselves smiling and enjoying their many concert adventures on social media. He liked all types of music and was especially known to be a big Mötley Crüe fan.

Jim is predeceased in death by his mother, Debbie Salo. He is survived by his father, Rich Salo; his wife, Bronwyn Salo; his children, Michael Salo, Lyndsay Erickson, Kyndahl Salo and Morgan Winchester-Snow; his sisters, Shannon Ramsey and Alicia Fleetwood; niece, Madison (Buddy) Bennett; nephew, Cameron Webster, great-nephew, Carter Bennett; aunt, Vicki Rowe; aunt and uncle Bruce and Paulette Straughn; cousins; and many amazing friends including lifelong friend, Mark Skinner.

A celebration of Jim’s life will be held on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2022, at the Hoquiam Elks, located at 624 K Street in Hoquiam. The celebration will be held from 1 to 3:30 p.m. and all who knew Jim are welcome. We encourage family and friends to wear their Seahawks, Mariners, or WSU gear to honor Jim as we say goodbye for now.

Another celebration in Jim’s honor will be held in the Bremerton area at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Tuell-McKee in Bremerton.
