Jack Lawrence Hansmann of Tacoma, Washington, passed away on Aug. 5, 2020, at the age of 65.

Jack was born on July 29, 1955, in Aberdeen, Washington, to Clifford and Joanne (Pettit) Hansmann. Jack grew up in Aberdeen and graduated from Weatherwax High School in 1973. During and after high school, Jack worked for the family business, Pettit Oil Company. Following high school, he attended Grays Harbor Community College, the University of Washington, and the Gateway Seminary, where he studied the Living Waters Way of the Master with Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron. Jack continued his ministry education throughout his life.

Jack began a career in real-estate construction, sales and mortgage lending in the late 1980s and continued on this career path throughout his life. Jack was part of a large Christian community, where he spread the Gospel of Christ. He attended the Four-Square Church of Grays Harbor, the Cornerstone Church in Aberdeen, the Church of Living Water in Olympia and Life Center in Tacoma. Jack spent his final eight years of life worshipping at the Central Lutheran Church in Tacoma. Jack was passionate about his faith and was active in church activities to include being a pastor during Sunday morning service and teaching Bible studies.

Jack was preceded in death by his mother, Joanne Pettit Hansmann and his grandparents. He is survived by his father Clifford Hansmann of Montesano, Washington; son Ryan Hansmann and granddaughters Ably and Zella Hansmann of Olympia, Washington.; aunt Mary Hansmann Soper of Walla Walla, Washington; his sisters: Lynn Hansmann Aue of Lacey, Washington, Mary Hansmann (Bob) Kiser of Montesano and Lee Hansmann Napier of Chehalis, Washington. Jack is also survived by his nephews, Roland and Zane (Rachel) Aue of Olympia, Nic (Casey) Kiser of Montesano, and his niece Jenna (Bill) Kiser of Ellensburg, Washington and their children.

Jack had a passion for life and loved those he met along the way. He was well loved by all who were blessed to know him.
