Edna Mae (Schaller) Presswood passed peacefully on Nov. 20, 2022, at her home in Lacey, Washington.

Edna Mae (Schaller) Presswood passed peacefully on Nov. 20, 2022, at her home in Lacey, Washington.

Edna was born Feb. 18. 1932, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to Pauline (Schaller) Young and William Schaller.

Edna married Clarence W. (Bud) Presswood on Feb. 24, 1950 in St. Louis, Missouri.

Clarence and Edna moved to Longview, Washington in 1952, then to the Wishkah Valley in 1964, later moving to Lacey, Washington.

Mom worked in the Wishkah Valley School Cafeteria for 7 years. She loved being the lunch lady and seeing all the students. Mom was an avid reader, seamstress and enjoyed doing her crafts.

Mom and Dad traveled the U.S. for 10 years after Dad retired from Weyerhaeuser in 1990. They both enjoyed camping with their children and grandchildren, and spending time with their great grandchildren.

Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence.

Mom is survived by her children: Clarence (Bud) Presswood Jr. (Darlene) of Hoquiam, Washington; Tom Presswood of Mead, Washington; Patti Jenney (William) of Moyock, North Carolina; Michael Presswood (Roseann) of Lacey, Washington; and Linda Chilman (Lane) of Hoquiam, Washington. grandchildren: Angela and Joe Fuquay and daughters; Justin Ridgway, Jarod and Denise Ridgway and daughters, Rachael and Josh Hansin, Sarah and Sean Poppert, Caitlyn Presswood, Andrea Chilman and family, Angela Shay and son, Kevin and Allison Shay and sons. Michelle Osbekoff-Toepelt and family and Brian Osbekoff and family as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A private family service was held at St. John’s Cemetery in Wishkah, Washington.
