Dong Ok Yun, 93, Aberdeen resident and former business man, passed away on November 9, 2021 at Harbor Regional Health Community Hospital in Aberdeen.

Dong was born in Seoul, South Korea on April 22, 1928, to Hawk Soo Yun and Aji Do. He grew up in Seoul and married Kyong Ok Yi 72 years ago. She resides at the family home.

He moved to Fairbanks, Alaska in 1990 and then in 2001, moved to Hoquiam and then to Aberdeen in 2008.

Dong enjoyed riding his bike, reading, playing the traditional Korean drums and being with his grandkids.

Dong is survived by two sons, four daughters, one brother, three sisters, 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral was held for Mr. Yun on Friday, Nov. 12, 2021, at 4 p.m. in Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home Chapel.
