Daniel W. Richey

Daniel Wayne Richey, a longtime resident of Aberdeen and former forklift driver, died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2023, at home. He was 72.

Services are being scheduled and will be announced with a full obituary in the coming weeks.

Arrangements are by Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen.

Marjorie A. Leggett

Aberdeen resident Marjorie Ann Leggett, a former teacher died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023, at Harbor Regional Health Community Hospital in Aberdeen. She was 88.

Services are being scheduled and will be announced with a full obituary in the coming weeks.

Arrangements are by Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen.

Harold ‘Smitty’ Smith

A service for former Grays Harbor County Undersheriff Harold “Smitty” Smith, who died Dec, 8, 2022, in Wenatchee, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 4, at Harrison Family Mortuary in Aberdeen.

A small private gathering will take place after the service.

James E. McClinton

Ocean Shores resident James Edward McClinton died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2023, at home. He was 62.

Prior to retiring to Ocean Shores, he owned and operated Start n Charge, an automotive repair shop, in the Newport/Usk area of Washington.

At his request, there will be no public service.

Cremation arrangements are by Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.

Lewis C. Pickering

Former Elma resident Lewis Cresswell Pickering III died Feb. 9, 2023, at the Veterans Hospital in Renton. He was 71.

He served in the U.S. Navy and had worked for Island Tug and Barge.

He will be laid to rest with full military honors at 3 p.m. Friday, March 10, at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent.
