Cheryl Ann Norton, age 53, of Aberdeen passed away on Jan. 7, 2017, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital. She was born on Nov. 17, 1963. She attended school in Montesano, later moving to Aberdeen.

Cheryl married Darrel Norton in November 1991. The love that Darrel and Cheryl shared for each other was something to be envied. Every time they spoke on the phone or left without the other, they always said “I love you” and kissed. So much love and caring for so many years.

Cheryl loved bowling, baseball, camping, being involved with everything family related, helping with all her nieces and nephews; and most of all she loved her husband, Darrel more each day. She was a member of the Women’s Bowling Association and was the first woman to bowl a 300 in 26 years at the Longview Bowling Alley.

She is survived by her husband Darrel Norton of Aberdeen; mother Patricia Best of Aberdeen; son Jay (Cindy) Freeman of Ocean Shores; daughter Kris (Jarrid) Horn of Ocean Shores; brothers Greg and John Brooks and sisters Laura Hirsche, Donna Robbins, Ellen Roy, Danielle Miles and Nicole Randolph. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Michael Brooks.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, at 4 p.m. at the D&R Event Center, 205 I Street, Aberdeen.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations for funeral costs. If you wish to donate please do so on the Go Fund Me account on Facebook, or to a donation bank account at Timberland Bank (account #032378906-Cheryl Norton).
