Charleen May (Sackrider) Davidson

Charleen May Davidson departed her earthly bonds to the hands of God on Sept. 29, 2021.

Charleen May Davidson departed her earthly bonds to the hands of God and the loving arms of her predeceased, beloved husband Orville Davidson on Sept. 29, 2021. at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia.

Charleen Sackrider was born to Charles and Gladyce Sackrider in Montesano, Washington on Feb. 8, 1930. The eldest of three children, she graduated from Point Loma High School, San Diego, California in May of 1948. She married the love of the rest of her life, Orville, on June 26, 1948 soon after graduation. They began their family of one daughter and two sons about one year after marriage and completing their family 10 years later. They eventually settled in their family home outside Montesano.

Charleen and Orville were committed to their family and one of her favorite verses was:

FAMILY

“Nothing is more meaningful than life within a family…

Where days are fuller, Love is deeper,

And memories are richer.”

Charleen was preceded in death by her beloved husband Orville (1991), both her parents (Charles 1965, Gladyce 1973), and brother Robert (San Diego, 1980) in her immediate family.

She is survived by her three children, Cathy Davidson Rider (Ron), Port Orchard, Washington; son Dr. Danny Davidson (Shelly) Olympia, Washington; and son Ken Davidson (Cindy), San Tan Valley, Ariznoza. She is also survived by her brother Dennis Sackrider, Montesano, Washington; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, numerous nephews, nieces, and special friendships.

She asked to be cremated and burial will be at family graveside service at a future date in the Wynooche Cemetery, Montesano, Washington next to her husband Orville and at the feet of her parents.
