Calvin Lee Forbes, 59 years of age and a longtime Harborite, died on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen, Wash.

Calvin Lee Forbes, 59 years of age and a longtime Harborite, died on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen, Wash. He was born on June 23, 1958, in Aberdeen to Ernest A. and Sharon D. (Franklin) Forbes.

He was raised and attended school in Aberdeen and then served with the United States Army.

He returned to the Harbor area and attended Centralia Community College and Grays Harbor College, where he studied computers.

He worked as a sales representative for Snyder Brothers, first selling cleaning products and later frozen meats. His area covered all of the United States to include Alaska.

In 1979 he was married to Kim Frances and they later divorced.

He met and married Tammy Priem in Minnesota and they had three children, Amanda, Richard and Emma. This marriage also ended in divorce.

Calvin had worked for Hoquiam Plywood and then Aberdeen Roof and Gutter until an injury forced him to retire.

He met the love of his life, Beverly Quaempts and they were married on Dec. 13, 2013. She survives at the Aberdeen family home.

In his spare time he loved to work on computers and was a member of a local CB club.

Besides his wife Beverly Quaempts, he is survived by his children, Amanda, Richard and Emma; his adopted daughter, Heather Frances; his grandchildren; his parents, Ernest A. and Sharon D. Forbes of Montana; his sister, Betty Lou “BooBoo” Thompson; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 6, 2017, at the Aberdeen Fern Hill Cemetery with Rev. Melvin Walker officiating.
