Alan A. Biggs passed away on Dec. 7, 2021, in Lacey, Washington.

Alan A. Biggs passed away on Dec. 7, 2021, in Lacey, Washington at the age of 78. Alan was born on Aug. 12, 1943 to Harry and Iva Biggs, in Salem, Oregon.

In 1948, the family moved to Bay City, Washington then bought a home in Ocosta in 1950. Alan attended Ocosta, graduating in 1961. He went on to earn his teaching degree, spent time studying in France, then returned to teach high school French in Wapato and Bellevue, Washington.

Alan decided to take a break from teaching, and he and partner Lyle Nichols opened Brittany Flowers in Kirkland, Washington. The shop was very successful, but after several years Alan again decided on a career change, sold the shop, and began teaching English to foreign students at Pacific Lutheran University and Green River College.

Alan is survived by his sister, Lila Mitchell (Pete), nephews: Atom (Sonja), Troy (Alana), Jay (Mandy), Brandon (Charity) and Damon Biggs, and Nick Scafturon, niece Lauren Scafturon, sister-in-law Jackie (David), cousin and dear friend Connie Averson (Tom), and many great-nieces and nephews. His parents, brother David, and partner Lyle died before him.

There will be no service, however there will be a small gathering at the Oysterville Cemetery at a later date.
