WSU Women in Agriculture conference Nov. 18

The WSU Extension office will host the 2017 Women in Agriculture Conference, “We Can Do It,” in Elma on Nov. 18 with a theme of developing and strengthening leadership skills.

The lineup for the day includes Alexis Taylor, Oregon Department of Agriculture director as well as Ann Schwartz, owner of Blue Heron Farm, which is located in the Skagit Valley.

The conference is designed for women who are farming, as well as new and aspiring farmers. Supporting spouses, students, interns or people who own an agriculture-related business are also welcome.

Registration fee is $30 which includes a light breakfast, lunch and conference materials. The conference will be held at WSU Grays Harbor Extension office, 32-Elma-McCleary Road in Elma. Call 360-482-2934 or visit www.womeninag.wsu.edu for details about the conference and registration.
