On Thursday, at about 9:20 a.m., Grays Harbor County Sheriff deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 4700 block of Central Park Drive for an unknown problem.
It was reported that a female at the location suffered a significant injury and was bleeding from the head. Deputies responded and arrived on scene, according to Undersheriff Kevin Schrader. Upon arrival deputies were able to determine that the female was the victim of an assault by an unknown intruder who broke into the victim’s house.
The suspect was described by the victim as a blonde female with braided hair wearing a gray zip up sweatshirt. Deputies began checking the area and located a suspect matching this description approximately 1/2 of a mile from the residence.
While deputies were talking to the possible suspect, they noticed blood on her clothing and face. She was taken into custody and booked into the Grays Harbor County Jail for attempted murder and first-degree burglary. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Just prior to this call at 8:40 a.m. on Thursday, deputies were advised of a suspicious person call in the 4200 block of Olympic Highway. It was reported that a female came into a business at the location and was asking for help. The female was reported to seem confused and then left the location on foot heading eastbound on Olympic Highway.
Deputies responded and checked the area but were unable to locate the female. It is believed at this time that the two incidents may be related.
