    COURTESY GRAYS HARBOR SHERIFF’S OFFICE                                The Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office and the Region 3 CIIT provided a photograph Thursday of the suspect involved in the Sept. 9 shooting in Aberdeen. According to the Sheriffs Office, the photo shows a gun in the right hand of the suspect during his confrontation with Aberdeen Police. The investigation is ongoing and authorities will continue to update the public with information as it becomes available.

    A warning sign is posted beside Vance Creek County Park Pond No. 2 this month south of Elma. Similar warnings will be seen around fresh water in Ocean Shores. On Friday, the county issued a warning about the presence of blue-green algae in fresh water in and around the city. The algae can make people sick or be fatal to animals, including pets.
