Multi-agency drug bust in Grays Harbor

Two men from Aberdeen and Hoquiam were arrested for alleged distribution of methamphetamine during the course of on-going investigation in western Washington, law enforcement officials said.

A 42-year-old Aberdeen man and 28-year-old Hoquiam man were taken into custody on Monday, Dec. 20, after the Grays Harbor Drug Task Force served four search warants at undisclosed locations. A third person was also arrested. Their names were not released.

The Aberdeen and Hoquiam residents were booked into Grays Harbor County Jail for Violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act. Law enforcement officials seized about 32 pounds of methamphetamine and several hundred suspected fentanyl pills, as well as a large amount of cash and a firearm.

The Grays Harbor Drug Task Force partnered with the Drug Enforcement Administration, Lewis County Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team, Tahoma Narcotics Enforcement Team, Homeland Security and the Aberdeen, Hoquiam and Cosmopolis police departments.

The GH Drug Task Force “is dedicated to the fight against drugs that poison our community,” said Det. Sgt. Darrin King.
