Calls to public safety agencies

Cocoa makes her clothes fall off

Aberdeen police were called to the Best Western Plus Monday afternoon when a woman, who was not a guest, was helping herself to hot cocoa and coffee while stripping her clothes off and exposing herself. Police escorted her off the property and served her with a trespass notice.

Knife-wielding hugger sought

Early Tuesday Aberdeen officers responded to a report of a knife assault in the 1100 block of West Wishkah Street.

The female victim told police she was walking to the alley driveway behind her home when a man grabbed her in a bear hug. The man was holding a knife, but fled after the victim hit him with the lunch she was carrying. The suspect is described as a white male, about six feet tall and 25 years old with a beard, wearing a gray hoodie, baseball cap and blue jeans. Lieutenant Kevin Darst with Aberdeen Police is asking for the public’s help identifying the suspect.
