Drivers on Highway 12 near Elma will encounter single-lane closures in both directions and a closed highway median at Schouweiler Road Thursday from 8 a.m. through the afternoon commute. A section of Schouweiler Road between Highway 12 and Schouweiler Tract Road West will close to all traffic. Drivers on westbound Highway 12 will not be able to turn right onto Schouweiler Road. Eastbound commuters on Highway 12 will not be able to turn left onto Schouweiler Road. The temporary closures are needed to allow DOT crews to complete striping and other work associated with the project that makes a number of intersection improvements.
