Cold weather expected to last through the week

The National Weather Service Seattle office continues to forecast cold night time temperatures for Grays Harbor County. Several areas could see temperatures dip into the low to mid 20’s Tuesday. Temperatures on the coast could have the mercury dropping to the freezing mark on the thermometer.

The arrival of cold temperatures and snow levels dropping to sea level could bring snow showers to all areas of the county. Up to two inches of the white stuff may accumulate in East County and areas to the north, such as Humptulips and Amanda Park.

Black ice could become an issue each night and through the early morning hours this week, making driving extremely hazardous.

Another storm system is expected to hit Thursday bringing with it windy conditions, rain and possible snow showers with accumulations up to three inches.
