Mayor Douglas Orr recognized the Aberdeen High School State Champion Girls Softball team

City Administrator Ruth Clemens delivered a comprehensive presentation of the Homelessness Response Survey results.

Tabled a request recommending the City Council authorize the Mayor to sign a letter of support for the Westport Golf Links Project.

Also tabled the vote to approve a new Wishkah Bridge Sign, as recommended by the Arts Commission. This topic will be discussed at the June 11 city council meeting.

Voted to approve an agreement with the Department of Natural Resources to have property in South Aberdeen appraised for potential future purchase.

By a vote of 9-3, approved the Second Reading of an ordinance relating to Code of Ethics, Revisions will be presented at the final reading. Councilors Deb Hodgkin, Kacey Ann Morrison, Melvin Taylor were the “no” votes.

Ocean Shores

Announced three vacancies on the Parks Board, two vacancies on the Library Board of Trustees, one vacancy on the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee, and one vacancy on the Airport Development and Operating Committee.

Appointed Pam Nachbor to the Library Board of Trustees.

The Community Engagement Committee presented an update on their activities.

The Port of Grays Harbor delivered their annual report.

Councilor Rich Hartman gave an update on the most recent Council of Governments meeting.

Passed an ordinance repealing Chapters 2.40, 2.48, 2.58, 2.60, 2.61, and 2.62 of the Ocean Shores Municipal Code and Resolution No. 737, Creating a New Chapter 2.44 Citizen Advisory Boards and Committees, and Establishing an Effective Date.

Also resolved to adopt the updated 2022 Grays Harbor County Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan.

Awarded southern erosion remnant jetty study contract to Moffatt & Nichol.

Approved the purchase of a sewer mainline inspection camera.

Westport

Mayor Ed Welter presented a brief update on the Westport tsunami tower project and FEMA grant funding for the project.
