The fight against unsightly graffiti continues in both Cosmopolis and Aberdeen.
In Aberdeen, at about 1:27 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 9, an Aberdeen police officer was on routine patrol with a civilian rider on board. While driving in the 300 block of East Heron Street, the civilian rider saw people spray painting a garage door in the alley.
The officer went to investigate and located two subjects defacing private property with spray paint.
After contacting the owners of the property, the two subjects, ages 31 and 47 of Aberdeen, were arrested for third-degree malicious mischief. They were booked into the Aberdeen city Jail awaiting arraignment.
In Cosmopolis, police are investigating recent incidents of malicious mischief involving graffiti in the community. Several locations have been targeted with spray paint markings.
