Darrell and Elaine (Bolduan) Lokken of Aberdeen are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary this month.

The couple was married at Zion Lutheran Church in Snohomish on Aug. 12, 1961.

Darrell taught math at Aberdeen High School and coached basketball and golf. Elaine taught at Robert Gray, A.J. West and McDermoth elementary schools in Aberdeen.

They have since retired, Darrell in 1994 and Elaine in 1999.

The couple has two daughters: Kerry Reid of Bellevue and Wendy Turnbull of Ephrata. They also have five grandchildren.
