Grays Harbor Dance will present its Christmas recital this weekend: “The Polar Express.”

On this magical train, two children experience a holiday adventure with magical toys, elves, hot chocolate, reindeer and of course Santa.

More than 60 students ages 3 to 16 have been rehearsing since August, said Grays Harbor Dance owner and instructor Kayli Colgrove. A wide variety of dance styles will be highlighted, from ballet to “pop-hop.”

Loric Colgrove, 14, plays the Conductor. The other two lead characters are the Hero Boy (Azure Colgrove, 8) and the Hero Girl (Dharma Rossetti, 8).

“I love this time of year when it all comes together and these kids can shine on stage,” said Colgrove.

Performance times are 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the 7th Street Theatre in Hoquiam. Admission is free with a food bank donation.
