Enchanted Evening raises funds for Northwest Carriage Museum

From left, actors Gracie Manlow, Mary Cooley and Scott and Pam Newman played 19th century characters Saturday at “An Enchanted Evening,” a fundraiser for the Northwest Carriage Museum in Raymond. The event was sold out, and Curator Jerry Bowman provided insight into the 19th century carriage industry during an entertaining and informative tour. Later this week, Bowman will be featured in the TV show “Mysteries at the Museum,” telling the story of Mary Fields, the first African-American woman to acquire a U.S. Postal Service stagecoach route. The episode will air Thursday on the Travel Channel at 6 p.m. and again at 9 p.m.
