OLYMPIA — Longtime Elma resident Al Cota died Monday, Jan. 7, 2019, at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. He was 78.

He worked for the Washington State Department of Transportation.

A memorial service is being planned and details will be announced in the complete obituary at a later date in The Daily World.

Arrangements are by Harrision Family Mortuary.

Marlyn J. “Susie Q” Soberanes

Marlyn Jean “Susie Q” Soberanes, a lifetime resident of the Harbor, died at her home in Aberdeen, Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019. She was 80.

She had been a waitress and bartender in Aberdeen.

SEATTLE — Matthew Robert Parks of Montesano died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019, at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle. He was 42.

A celebration of his life is planned for 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20 at the Montesano Moose Lodge.
