One year ago I was supportive of the appointment of Ray Kahler by Governor Inslee to fill the vacancy on the Grays Harbor Superior Court created by the retirement of Judge Mark McCauley. Today I know that governor Inslee made the right choice in appointing Ray to that position.

We now have the opportunity to vote to retain Judge Kahler to that position. Judge Kahler has shown the wisdom, maturity and thoughtfulness that I hoped he would bring to the bench.

I have known Ray Kahler for more than 20 years now and have watched him grow as a bright and talented attorney. I was privileged to attend his wedding to Callie. I have enjoyed chatting with him as he walked by our residence with his young children.

I would urge Grays Harbor County voters to retain Ray Kahler as Superior Court Judge, Position 3, Grays Harbor County.
