Some thoughts

The Senior Assistance office on Simpson Avenue had the best knowledgeable worker, with the nicest personality that supplied you with the best supplement and prescription coverage that was available for the best coverage and best price.

Thank you Kathy Jones! Enjoy retirement. There are others there who can help you also.

Here’s my take on some other subjects.

Politics: In my opinion, politics is the largest scam in the U.S.A. Why is it that millions are spent on a campaign for an office that pays maybe $150,000+ a year? Big money wants your vote, the person who gets elected, that is. We, the people, are forgotten after that. Do-gooders get what they want.

Fish friendly culverts: What a joke. Fish have been swimming in these waters for years with no problem. Now they want to tear down dams on the Snake! Had record runs of steelhead a few years back. Salmon and steelhead make it up the Methow River every year. I have pictures to prove it. Lots of steeelhead fisher persons every winter.

Free Speech: Back in the ’40s and ’50s, the old saying was sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me. Society has changed so much since then. You have to be careful what you say.

Around 1980, a young man in high school, smartest kid in class, caught a shoplifter where he worked. Shoplifter told him if he testified, he would kill him. I could not talk the young man into coming to my house and talk about it, as he and my daughter were best friends. One week plus, the young man killed himself. Haunts me to this day.

Donald Trump: If the Republican senators still believe he did nothing wrong, then they are just as guilty as he was and is.
