Community Club questions

For many years I have been a regular three-times-a-week user of the Ocean Shores Community Club gym, hot tub and showers. When my annual (required) membership fee of almost $150 came due in August, I sent them a check for half the amount, saying it was for maintenance. My checked was cashed, but to date I have received neither a membership renewal nor any communication from them whatsoever.

Thanks to COVID-19 these are not normal financial times. From my auto insurance company, for example, I — and I assume all their customers — are receiving, unsolicited, a rebate check every month for the last four months because the company assumes their people are not driving enough to warrant the insurance they payed for.

Our Community Club has now been completely closed to all its members for over six months and for the foreseeable future. Are they expecting — demanding — continued full payment for no service whatsoever until who knows when? I find this not only member unfriendly but unethical. The club should, never mind the rules, consider offering, in some way, a lower annual fee and/or rebates.

Suggestions, comments, anyone?
