Rusty Anchor Grill & Pub opens at Polynesian Resort in OS

Ocean Shores visitors and residents can now enjoy a new casual dining experience along the coast.

The Rusty Anchor Grill & Pub recently opened on-site at The Polynesian Resort, 615 Ocean Shores Blvd. NW.

The new restaurant offers customers a variety of dining options in a casual atmosphere.

“Increasingly, people are looking for a quality dining experience in a more relaxed venue, especially at the beach,” according to Kelly Weiler, Rusty Anchor’s new manager. “With its fresh menu and inviting look, guests are sure to enjoy this new dining destination.”

The Rusty Anchor opens daily at 4 p.m. for dinner featuring fresh fish selections along with casual pub food such burgers, fish and chips, wraps and salads, along with a new children’s menu. It will also feature several regional beers on tap, regional wines and seasonal cocktails. Daily happy hour food and beverage specials are offered from 4 to 6 p.m..

The Rusty Anchor also offers a weekend all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet from 8 a.m. unti noon.

The new Grill & Pub replaces Mariah’s Restaurant and Lounge.

Bruland earns diploma from Graduate School of Banking at Colorado

Dustin Bruland, vice president and regional retail manager of Bank of the Pacific in Aberdeen, graduated July 25 from the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado’s 69th annual school session hosted at the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colo. The Graduate School of Banking at Colorado annually hosts this 25-month school of higher education that provides management and leadership training for community bank professionals. Bruland was among 156 graduates of the class of 2019.

Graduates receive a diploma upon successfully completing six weeks of classroom training — two weeks for three consecutive years — which focus on general management and technology, leadership and human resource management, financial management and lending. Requirements for graduation also include comprehensive examinations, intersession research projects and participation in a bank management simulation course.
