The Unbreakable Brain Teaches Steps for Preventing Dementia

Dementia and other degenerative brain diseases kill millions of people every year. One in three people in the United States will die of dementia. Dementia can affect people as young as 45 years old. As you get older, your risk of dementia increases. The Unbreakable Brain is designed to help.

In The Unbreakable Brain, Dr. Will Mitchell aims to provide adults of any age with actionable strategies they can use to reduce their risk of dementia or brain-related illnesses.

Dr. Will Mitchell has been studying dementia for over a decade. He was motivated to specialize in dementia research after watching his aunt die from Alzheimer’s. He saw Alzheimer’s transform his aunt – and he wanted to prevent that from happening to others.

Dr. Mitchell states, “You can absolutely take steps right now to prevent dementia.

Dementia isn’t an inevitable disease linked to genetics in all adults; instead, you can “make some simple changes…and you can stop and reverse dementia,” according to Dr. Mitchell’s research.

Who is Dr. Will Mitchell?

The Unbreakable Brain was written by Dr. Will Mitchell.

Dr. Will Mitchell has spent the last decade of his career specializing in Alzheimer’s research. He was motivated to enter the field after watching his aunt struggle with the disease. After his aunt’s funeral, he “made the decision to discover all I could about dementia.”

Dr. Mitchell doesn’t claim to be a medical doctor. However, he does describe himself as a “medical professional,” and he appears to have firsthand experience treating patients with Alzheimer’s and dementia.

Dr. Mitchell also claims to operate a clinic in Austin, Texas, where he sees patients with dementia regularly.

Dr. Mitchell partnered with Primal Health LP to write The Unbreakable Brain and publish the book online. He wanted to price it affordably, helping those concerned with dementia battle the disease.

Say Goodbye to Brain Fog: Explore The Unbreakable Brain!

You Can “Stop and Reverse” Dementia, According to Dr. Mitchell’s Research

The Unbreakable Brain is specifically marketed to older adults concerned about dementia, Alzheimer’s, and degenerative brain disease.

Although some cases of dementia are genetic, others are not. Dr. Mitchell claims the majority of dementia cases are not genetic. He also claims dementia is a condition you can “stop and reverse” with the right lifestyle changes:

“…make some simple changes…and you can stop and reverse dementia.”

In The Unbreakable Brain, you can discover some simple changes to implement today. By making minor adjustments to your diet and lifestyle habits, you could purportedly stop and reverse dementia, according to Dr. Mitchell’s research.

The Unbreakable Brain Targets Neurotransmitters to Help with Dementia

Your brain uses neurotransmitters to communicate. Many of the lessons in The Unbreakable Brain work by targeting neurotransmitters.

Neurotransmitters are chemicals in the brain that transfer information from one part of the brain to the other.

When your brain is healthy and active, neurotransmitters send accurate signals from one part of the brain to another, giving you better memory, focus, and overall cognition.

As you get older, however, your brain creates “plaque” that causes neurotransmitters to misfire, sending incorrect signals throughout the brain.

Typically, the development of plaque in the brain increases the risk of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. However, Dr. Mitchell claims “you can reverse this” behavior by making simple dietary and lifestyle changes:

“Yes…you can reverse this…all of this can be prevented. And if dementia has started, then it can be reversed…by making a few simple lifestyle changes and adding certain foods to your diet.”

According to Dr. Mitchell, those changes aren’t complicated: adding MCTs to your diet could help – as can taking B vitamins.

How MCT Oil Helps with Dementia

Much of the research in The Unbreakable Brain is related to medium-chain triglycerides, or MCTs.

MCTs are a particular type of fatty molecule found in coconut oil and specific other natural substances. Some studies have connected MCT oil to improvements in cognition.

Dr. Mitchell cites the story of one patient who was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s in his 50s – only to alleviate symptoms of Alzheimer’s within just 30 days of trying MCT oil:

“Massive improvement took place in just 30 days! His normal personality returned. He walked correctly. Reading was normal. The fog lifted. At a family gathering, Dennis recognized people and maintained normal conversations.”

However, Dr. Mitchell doesn’t recommend any MCT oil; there are eight different types of coconut oil, and you need to choose the right one to maximize the effects.

In The Unbreakable Brain, you can discover the science behind MCT oil – and how it could help with Alzheimer’s and dementia.

How B Vitamins Help with Dementia

In addition to MCT oil, Dr. Mitchell recommends adding B vitamins to your diet to help with dementia.

Some studies have shown older adults taking B vitamins have experienced an improvement in symptoms of dementia and overall cognitive decline.

Even healthy adults may experience positive effects by taking B vitamins. B vitamins are crucial for cognitive health and mental energy. If you experience mental fog or general lethargy, then you may be deficient in one or more B vitamins, and taking a supplement could help.

According to a study published in Nutrition Reviews, B vitamins are believed to work by reducing elevated homocysteine (Hcy) levels. That study analyzed dozens of trials across thousands of patients and found that “B vitamin supplementation is associated with slowing of cognitive decline.”

In that same study, researchers found higher dietary intake of folate was associated with a reduced risk of dementia in older adults.

In The Unbreakable Brain, you can discover benefits linked to folate and other B vitamins – and how you can easily add B vitamins to your diet through foods or supplements.

The Unbreakable Brain Reviews: Does The Unbreakable Brain Cure Dementia?

The goal of The Unbreakable Brain is to prevent dementia.

However, Dr. Mitchell claims his advice does more than just prevent you from developing dementia; it could even help “reverse” dementia that has already started.

Although Dr. Mitchell doesn’t specifically claim to cure dementia, he does claim his advice can reverse it:

“Yes…you can reverse this…all of this can be prevented. And if dementia has started, then it can be reversed…by making a few simple lifestyle changes and adding certain foods to your diet.”

As proof, Dr. Mitchell cites the story of researcher Dr. Dale Bredeson, who published a study in 2014 after analyzing a group of 10 adults with cognitive impairments.

Dr. Bredeson told these people to change their eating habits and make certain lifestyle changes – like adding vitamins, herbs, minerals, and supplements to their diet.

Some of these patients had such severe cognitive dysfunction they “considered themselves untreatable,” according to Dr. Mitchell. After implementing Dr. Bredeson’s diet and lifestyle changes, however, they experienced transformative results:

One 67-year-old patient had such severe cognitive decline before Dr. Bredeson’s trial that she forgot the names of her pets, was struggling to perform at work, and couldn’t remember the locations of light switches in her home. Her mother had also died of dementia. After following Dr. Bredeson’s plan, however, she “reversed all the symptoms of her dementia” within just three months.

The official website also tells the story of a 53-year-old accountant named Dennis Barnes. Doctors diagnosed Dennis with early-onset dementia. Doctors prescribed drugs, but they led to unwanted side effects. After just 30 days of taking one of the recommended solutions in The Unbreakable Brain, MCT, here’s what happened:

“Massive improvement took place in just 30 days! His normal personality returned. He walked correctly. Reading was normal. The fog lifted. At a family gathering, Dennis recognized people and maintained normal conversations.”

Despite having been diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s, Dennis regained his personality, walked correctly, and lifted his brain fog with just one recommended ingredient from The Unbreakable Brain.

Additionally, Dr. Mitchell claims, “you can help a friend or relative reverse the symptoms of dementia” by implementing the lessons in The Unbreakable Brain.

Scientific Evidence for The Unbreakable Brain

c

Doctors tell us there’s no cure for dementia and that you can’t reverse Alzheimer’s disease or other degenerative brain diseases once they’ve started.

However, Dr. Mitchell seems to suggest otherwise, marketing his book to adults who are concerned about dementia and those who have already developed dementia. Is there any science behind these claims?

Much of Dr. Mitchell’s work is based on a 2014 trial by Dr. Dale Bredeson, who told a group of older adults with significant cognitive impairment to make diet and lifestyle changes – like taking vitamins, minerals, and supplements. Here’s what happened next:

One 67-year-old patient in the trial had a family history of Alzheimer’s and was showing early warning signs of the condition – like mixing up the names of her pets and forgetting the location of light switches around her home. She “reversed all the symptoms of her dementia” within three months of following Dr. Bredeson’s plan.

A 55-year-old attorney in the study “had started to experience severe memory issues” before Dr. Bredeson’s trial. She had left the stove on multiple times, forgotten meetings, and forgotten the password to her iPad, among other symptoms of degenerative brain disease. However, Dr. Mitchell said “after just five months on Dr. Bredeson’s anti-dementia program,” she had “returned to work, learned Spanish, and began a new legal specialty.” Her children found her “razor-sharp mind was back to normal.”

Of the ten patients in the study, “nine reversed the symptoms of dementia…and continued living their lives without any symptoms,” according to Dr. Mitchell.

Much of the information in The Unbreakable Brain is based on Dr. Bredeson’s trial. Dr. Dale Bredeson is real – although his name is spelled Bredesen and not Bredeson. He’s a renowned Alzheimer’s and dementia researcher who has published significant research on the disease. His work focuses on a diet and lifestyle-based approach to managing dementia – similar to Dr. Will Mitchell’s work.

MCT oil has shown some promise to help with cognitive decline. A 2022 study, for example, found MCT oil could stabilize symptoms in a group of Alzheimer’s patients. That study found that 80% of patients with Alzheimer’s had “stabilization or improvement in cognition” after taking MCT oil for nine months.

Overall, studies show certain vitamins, minerals, and nutrients could promote cognitive health – and even help with degenerative brain disease. However, we need more large scale evidence in humans to verify you can “stop and reverse” degenerative brain disease and eliminate all symptoms as suggested by Dr. Will Mitchell in The Unbreakable Brain.
