Aberdeen to face Montesano in softball game on Saturday

Due to recent rain outs and schedule cancellations, Aberdeen and Montesano have agreed to play a non-league softball game at 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 21 at Montesano High School.

Montesano is scheduled to face Tumwater earlier in the day at 2 p.m. and will then face the Bobcats, which are coming off a win over Kentwood in which ace pitcher Lilly Camp tossed a no-hitter with 20 strikeouts.

Last year’s game between the two teams under the lights at Dick Tagman Field was one of the highlights of the spring season, with a large, energetic crowd that rivaled those of state-championship games.
