Tokeland-North Cove Art and Studio Tour expands into full weekend

In its 11th year, the Tokeland-North Cove Art and Studio Tour has expanded into a full weekend of events.
The studio tour will span 14 venues with 30 artists represented. The tour hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.
Another addition this year is a fundraising event for the Ocosta Junior/Senior High School art program, which will begin Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Tradewinds on the Bay event center. For $20, attendees will receive a one-of-a-kind wine glass hand-painted by local artists; ; unlimited samples of wine; and appetizers including locally sourced cheeses, meats and seafood. In addition, they will be allowed to bid in a live auction of donated items. The high school’s Art Club adviser, Don Watkins, will serve as auctioneer.
At 4 p.m. Sunday, a beach cleanup and Easter egg hunt will be held at the Warrenton Cannery beach approach, sponsored by the North Willapa Artist Community and . Search for 200 eggs containing over $150 in cash will be hidden amongst the driftwood as you help clean up the beach in North Cove. Bags will be provided.
Sponsors include the Tokeland-North Cove Chamber of Commerce, Shoalwater Bay Tribe, South Beach Artist Association, North Willapa Artist Community, the Historic Tokeland Hotel, Nelson Crab Co., Bayshore Beach RV Park and Elements Glass Art.
