Courtesy photo                                Erv Granahan and Rod Matye were recognized May 18 with the International Presidents Lions Award — one of the Lions’ highest honors. Granahan is secretary of the Aberdeen Lions, and Matye is zone chairman-elect of the Cosmopolis Lions. They were lauded for their efforts to bring vision and hearing screening to this area. To date, more than 6,000 people have been screened from Forks to Centralia to Raymond, and even some areas of Mason County.
