Highway 12 near Montesano will be closed to traffic for about 15 minutes Monday evening, according to the State Department of Transportation.

Sometime between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. Aug. 20, contractor crews will reposition a crane used to move pieces of a 220-foot-long concrete box structure over an unnamed tributary to the Wynoochee River as part of a fish-passage project. The new structure is intended to improve stream flows for migratory fish.

This stretch of Highway 12 is currently restricted to one lane in each direction near the Devonshire overpass with a speed limit reduction to 25 mph. Motorists are encouraged to add additional travel time to reach their destinations. The project is expected to be completed in the early fall.
