Congratulations to Taya Do, selected as GHC’s 2026 Faculty of the Year.
Selected by students and announced during Commencement, the Faculty of the Year award recognizes an instructor who has made an extraordinary difference in the lives and educational journeys of Grays Harbor College students.
As a member of Grays Harbor College’s mathematics faculty, Taya is known for her dedication, patience, and genuine care for students. Students describe her as someone who makes math less intimidating, creates a welcoming environment for learning, and goes the extra mile to help them succeed.

“I believe Taya Do deserves Teacher of the Year because she truly cares about her students’ success. She has been my teacher since Math 60 up to math 132, and throughout every class she is always patient, encouraging, and supportive.”
