Elma, Hoquiam and Montesano girls basketball programs were well represented on the 2024-25 1A Evergreen All-League Girls Basketball Team, which was announced on Monday by league officials.

Leading the way was star junior forward Jillie Dalan, who was named the league’s Most Valuable Player for the second-straight season after averaging 16.9 points, 6.8 rebounds and four steals per game for the league-champion Bulldogs.

“(Dalan) was really our glue,” Montesano head coach Mark Mansfield said. “Strong inside and can step out and shoot from distance.”

Also making the league’s First Team for Monte was do-everything sophomore point guard Tieander Olson (15.9 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 5.1 apg, 6.6 spg) and senior forward Ava Schrader (8.8 pts., 8 rpg, 3.1 spg), who led Montesano in rebounds this season.

Hoquiam had two players named to the First Team in freshman forward Aaliyah Kennedy and junior point guard Lexi LaBounty.

Kennedy averaged a double-double with 13.2 points and 11.9 rebounds to go along with 4.3 steals per game this season.

“(Kennedy) does everything for us,” Hoquiam head coach Chad Allan said. “Solid athlete, handles the ball, defends and definitely rebounds. We go as she goes.”

LaBounty earned First Team honors after scoring 7.1 points, grabbing 4.1 rebounds, dishing out 2.5 assists and securing a team-high 5.1 steals per game this season.

“(LaBounty) is our energy and enforcer,” Allan said. “She does all the little things and has improved a ton from last year.”

Allan was named the league’s Coach of the Year after guiding the Grizzlies to a 15-9 season and a spot in the 1A State Tournament after going 4-18 a season ago.

A pair of Elma Eagles were also named to the First Team.

Eagles junior guard Olivia Moore and sophomore forward Keke Bol earned spots on the league’s top squad.

Hoquiam junior forward Sydney Gordon (11.1 ppg, 8.5 rpg) and senior guard Katlyn Brodhead (7.9 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 2.6 apg) were named to the league’s Second Team.

Elma senior Amaya Lewis and Montesano junior Josie Forster (3.3 ppg, 4.4 rpg) were named as all-league Honorable Mentions.
