Knights sweep Grizzlies

Mental mistakes cost Hoquiam in a 3-0 (26-24, 25-17, 25-16) loss to King’s Way Christian in a non-league match at Hoquiam Square Garden on Monday.

The Grizzlies (2-3) led through most of the first set but the Knights came back to get the narrow win. From there, King’s Way controlled the match.

“Once we got down, we just mentally lost focus and our decision making wasn’t great tonight,” Hoquiam coach Heather Bozich said. “I really did see some good things from our girls and they have improved, they just need to maintain that consistency once we find it.”

The Grizzlies won the JV mach in two sets.

Hoquiam hosts Castle Rock today.
