Oakville’s Nichols Brockman has been selected to compete at the Special Olympic USA Games beginning Sunday at Husky Stadium in Seattle.

Brockman will be competing in the bowling competition that will be held at Kenmore Lanes in Bothell after he earned a gold medal in the regional tournament in the fall.

Brockman, who won bowling gold in last year’s state games, was chosen from a pool of regional winners to participate in the national competition.

“Nick is a great athlete that gives 110 percent in all three sports he participates in throughout the year,” said East Grays Harbor Hawks Special Olympics bowling coach Becky Larsen.
