Saturday is Beautification Day in downtown Aberdeen, and the city is looking for volunteers to help improve the city by planting flowers and cleaning up. All ages and abilities are welcome, and check-in and orientation is at Aberdeen City Hall. The event runs from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Volunteers will be assigned a “captain” and a block to work on. This year’s project is focused on Wishkah Street and Heron Street from F Street to L Street.

Volunteers are advised to bring gloves, small hand tools, hand trimmers, and sun-screen if needed. Additional tools, flowers and light refreshments will be provided.
