Twin brothers from Cosmopolis have been charged with rape of a child in the first degree and several other related charges for a the sexual abuse of a relative. The incidents are alleged to have taken place repeatedly over a seven-year period.
Tristan Paul Mackinder and Jacob Hunter Mackinder were booked into Grays Harbor County Jail on May 25. Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Erin Riley filed charges against the twin brothers on April 26.
In total, the twin brothers have been charged with rape of child in the first degree, child molestation in the first degree and other charges related to the alleged assaults.
According to court documents, the brothers sexually assaulted and raped the victim from April 2007 through April 2014. The victim, still a minor, told her mother of the abuses in 2016 and they were reported to the Cosmopolis Police Department.
The brothers, who were juveniles at the time of the alleged assaults but who now are adults, were left in rooms alone with the victim throughout the course of the abuse, court records state. The motion and declaration documents filed by Riley detail several specific incidents of abuse.
