Car club to hold food drive Saturday

The newest car club on the Harbor, Test of Time, will hold a food drive Saturday at the Shoppes at Riverside in south Aberdeen Saturday, May 23.

Social distancing will be practiced. The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the front (south) parking lot of the mall. There will be a single line where you can hand your items to a volunteer out your car window, or pop the trunk where a volunteer can access your items. Volunteers will be wearing masks and gloves, and ask you do not get out of your car while dropping off your items.

Volunteers will be accepting nonperishable food items and cash and check donations. They cannot take fresh or frozen items. All donations will benefit the Aberdeen Salvation Army Food Bank.

The Test of Time car club, according to their Facebook page, is a nonprofit, volunteer-based organization “that promotes, preserves and educates the automotive hobby, within Grays Harbor County and beyond.” It describes itself as a family-oriented car club that actively promotes and supports local charities.
