The Simpson Avenue Bridge in Hoquiam will be closed to all traffic between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday, May 20, and Tuesday, May 21, for a routine inspection, according to the State Department of Transportation.

During the inspection, a signed detour will direct drivers to the Highway 101 Hoquiam Riverside Bridge, where a single lane of traffic for each direction will be in place.

The Department of Transportation conducts regularly scheduled inspections on all state bridges and structures. In the event of severe weather conditions, the inspection could be rescheduled.
