Icy 109 leads to rollover accident
Icy road conditions on State Route 109 Friday morning led to a rollover single-car accident that sent an Aberdeen woman to the hospital. Just before 9 a.m. a black 2002 Chevrolet Tracker driven by Renee Hayter was traveling southbound about two miles east of Ocean City when it hit a patch of ice. The car left the roadway, rolling before coming to a rest on its wheels. According to a report from the State Patrol, defective tires may have also been partially responsible for the wreck. Hayter, 27, was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident and was transported to Grays Harbor Community Hospital with undisclosed injuries.
