Amber Alert issued for 5-year-old taken by father in Ocean Shores

Ocean Shores Police issued an Amber Alert for a missing and possibly endangered 5-year-old boy just before 2 p.m. Tuesday.

The boy was identified as Timothy Cooper, who was taken from his grandmother’s house in Ocean Shores by his non-custodial father. Thomas Cooper, the father, has a “history of behavior that leads us to have great concern for the child’s safety,” Ocean Shores Police Chief Neccie Logan wrote in a release.

Cooper is described as a white male, 3 feet, 6 inches tall, and 50 pounds, with hazel eyes and brown hair.

The father, Thomas Cooper, is a 50-years-old white male, 5 feet, 6 inches tall, and 175 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair, according to police. The father is believed to be driving a 2001 Nissan Xterra, with license plate number BWR9567. The vehicle also has a trailer hitch on it.
