Grays Harbor’s community band and choir will perform Sunday in Aberdeen.
The Grays Harbor Concert Band and Civic Choir will present “Here Comes the Sun!” at 7 p.m. at the Bishop Center.
Directed by Tiffany Maki, the Concert Band will present a Beach Boys medley; “Summer of ’69: the Music of Woodstock”; John Philip Sousa’s “Stars and Stripes Forever”; and “I’ve Made my Plans for Summer,” with soloist Andrew Hall on euphonium.
The Civic Choir, led by Kari Hasbrouck, will perform “Sunrise,” with text by Walt Whitman and music by Michael Hennagin; “The Seal Lullaby,” with music by Eric Whittacre and text by Rudyard Kipling; “Shenandoah”; and several other selections.
The two groups will combine to perform “Can’t Buy Me Love.”
