During Saturday’s Rain Glow event, the Sweeping Beauty’s of 98520 displayed dozens of colorful entries in their ADoor Project.

Earthwise Architectural Salvage in Aberdeen donated a stack of old doors to be decorated for the project. Visitors to the old Goldberg’s building on Saturday evening were invited to vote for their favorites.

These were the people’s choice winners:

1. Katrina Miller, a care coordinator at Coastal Community Action Program.

2. Ciera Skully, a junior at Aberdeen High School.

3. Jax Eaton, also a junior at Aberdeen High School.

An honorable mention went to Emilio Monahan, a Hoquiam High School student who was just one vote shy of tying for third place.

“A lot of these students designed and painted the doors for their community project. It’s been awesome,” said Debbi Jensen, project manager.

The decorated doors will be displayed in the front windows of the Goldberg building for the rest of this month.
