North Coast News suspending operations for now

Subscribers will receive Thur-Saturday editions of The Daily World

The North Coast News, a sister paper to The Daily World, serving Ocean Shores and the North Beach region, has suspended publication. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak and the impact it has had in that community and beyond, Sound Publishing is forced to temporarily suspend service of the paper.

“This wasn’t an easy decision to make,” said Grays Harbor Newsgroup Publisher Mike Hrycko, “Living in Ocean Shores myself, I know how important reliable, accurate information is to the community. We remain committed to the North Coast and look forward to resuming publication of The North Coast News when it is financially viable to do so.”

The reality of the situation is that as businesses scale back their operations, we are forced to do the same. We remain committed to the North Coast and will continue to cover the area with enhanced versions of The Daily World on Thursday and Saturday. On those days you can expect to see more articles from Scott Johnston as well as added North Coast coverage. If you subscribe to The North Coast News we will automatically convert your subscription to a special Thursday and Saturday Daily World subscription at no additional cost. If you already subscribe to both papers we will suspend your NCN service until we are able to reintroduce the paper to the community.

Readers will also have 24/7 access to thedailyworld.com, which will provide continuous up-to -date information on everything happening on Grays Harbor.

Thank you for your continued support.
