7th Street Kids to present ‘Winnie the Pooh KIDS’ this weekend

7th Street Kids are back with their first of two summer shows for the family at the theater in Hoquiam.

The production of Disney’s “Winnie the Pooh KIDS” is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $5 for children 12 and under, $10 for adults.

Based on the series by A.A. Milne and the 2011 movie, “Winnie the Pooh KIDS” is appropriate for all ages. Winnie the Pooh and friends Tigger, Piglet, Rabbit and Owl embark on a mission to rescue Christopher Robin. Owl has convinced Pooh that Christopher is in the clutches of the the mysterious and ferocious Backson.

The show runs about 30 minutes with no intermission, making it an appropriate experience for young children.

Two weeks later, the production of Disney’s “Frozen Jr.” will be Thursday through Saturday, July 29-31, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, Aug. 1, at 2 p.m. Tickets are $5 for 12 and under, $10 students and seniors, $15 adults.

Based on the Disney movie and 2018 hit Broadway musical “Frozen,” this production reunites princesses and sisters Anna and Elsa who have to foil the traitorous plans of the seemingly charming Prince Hans.

Tickets are available through the website 7thstreetkids.org and at Tinderbox Coffee Roasters in Aberdeen, Harbor Drug in Hoquiam, Valu Drug in Montesano, Mocha Madness in Ocean Shores and at the theater box office starting one hour before curtain.
