Transit volunteers collecting donations

Grays Harbor Transit Community Outreach volunteers are busy little elves, collecting items to benefit children and families who need support this holiday season.
Members of the community can help by taking new, unwrapped toys, non-perishable food or cash to the Aberdeen or Hoquiam transit stations, or to the Grays Harbor Transit office at 705 30th St. in Hoquiam. Donations must be received by next Thursday, Dec. 20.
The volunteers will be holding other events and fundraisers throughout the year with 100 percent of the donations going to local charities such as the Children’s Advocacy Center, Coastal Harvest and the local women’s shelter.
