The 360 Limited Sprint Showdown begins Friday at Grays Harbor Raceway and continues until Saturday night. The Northwest Focus Midgets will return to Elma for the weekend, and Dwarf Cars are also scheduled to race Friday and Saturday.
Expect fireworks from the top 360 Limited Sprints point getters when they hit the track Friday. Doug Davenport, Chad Davis from Rochester, David Greene from Graham, and Nathan Geister from Tahuya figure to be in the mix when the dust clears. Graham earned his third win of the season last week and is as hot as any driver out there right now.
Davenport figures to be in the hunt when the Midgets go head to head, and he is the current point leader with Randy Schaaf and Tyler Luce close behind. Elma’s Garret Thomas could also be a factor in the Midgets.
PHRA and Northwest Dwarf Cars return to the raceway after a short absence. Dwarf car racing features custom-built, ⅝ scale replica race cars modeled after vintage 1928 to 1948 sedans and coupes. They are powered by high-revving motorcycle engines that have a high power to weight ratio, demanding precise control. The top Dwarf Car drivers in the Northwest are expected to drive this weekend.
The raceway gates will open at 4:30 p.m. with Hot Laps at 5 p.m. and Racing at 6 p.m. For additional information go to graysharborraceway.com or Facebook and Instagram.
